Rules
The game
- Each event on the board has the Government's planned date. You pick the date you think it will actually happen.
- Picks on an event close at the lock time shown (by default, midnight at the start of the planned date, America/New_York). The organiser can lock an event earlier if the Government announces a change.
- When the event actually happens, the organiser records the real date and the event is scored.
- For events with a window (a pitch across three days, say), pick the day it actually starts.
- Other people's picks are hidden until the event locks, so pick your own view, not the room's.
Scoring
| Your pick was | Points |
|---|---|
| the exact day | 10 |
| within 2 days | 7 |
| within 7 days | 5 |
| within 14 days | 3 |
| within 30 days | 1 |
| further out | 0 |
| the closest pick on the event (ties share it) | +3 |
Leaderboard order is total points, then fewest total days off across scored events, then number of picks made.
House rules
- Points and bragging rights only. Nothing here handles money.
- One entry per person. Your PIN keeps your picks yours; the organiser can reset it if you forget.
- Dates are taken from the published acquisition calendar. If the Government moves a date by amendment, the organiser locks the affected event and the board tracks the original date.
